Zelensky awarded the soldiers of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine

According to glavcom.ua: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky personally honored the soldiers of the Naval Forces on the occasion of their professional holiday. The head of state presented state awards for bravery and courage, emphasizing the importance of their role in defending the country from external threats.

«Our soldiers, together with intelligence and the security service, are doing everything possible to ensure that Ukrainian ports and sea routes are operational,» Zelensky emphasized.

During the solemn ceremony, the president expressed gratitude to the military for defending Odesa and the southern coast from Russian landings, awarding the best among them with state orders and medals. Military personnel who excelled in battles against enemy drones and during the elimination of enemy positions were also honored.

The Day of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is celebrated annually on the first Sunday of July, honoring the heroic service of the navy and its crucial role in ensuring Ukraine's security at sea.
