The bombardments damaged over a hundred structures. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy confirmed that the country's air defense forces intercepted 18 missiles and more than 100 drones, helping to limit the extent of the destruction.

The president stated that Russian forces had been stockpiling munitions specifically for this strike, with Kyiv and its region as primary targets.

President Zelenskyy also emphasized the continued implementation of a sanctions pressure plan against Russia.

“We are pushing forward with the long-range sanctions plan against Russia for the war. The oil industry and supplies for the occupation forces-these are our responses to what Russia is doing to Ukraine,”

he said. Ukraine will keep working with partners to intensify pressure on Moscow, aiming to force Russia to end the war on terms that ensure a dignified peace and guaranteed security for Ukraine.
