Meeting of the President of Ukraine with the UK Minister of Defense
According to ХВИЛЯ: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, met with the UK Minister of Defense, John Healey, to discuss the conditions for the deployment of the British contingent in Ukraine, as well as the consequences of the night strike by Russia on the energy infrastructure. During the meeting, issues of cooperation with France were addressed, and the readiness of the United Kingdom to provide necessary missiles and equipment was confirmed.
Zelensky noted that 'the framework for ending the war must include a clear mechanism for the actions of allies in the event of renewed aggression from Russia.'
He also emphasized that 'Moscow is trying to use cold as a tool of terror, so acquiring additional air defense means is a critical priority.' Furthermore, successful cooperation in the production of drones was discussed, highlighting the importance of international support in the fight against aggression.
Humanitarian consequences of Russia's aggression
This meeting took place against the backdrop of increased aggressive actions by Russia, specifically attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, which cause severe humanitarian consequences. Cooperation with the United Kingdom and France, as well as acquiring new military assets, are important elements of Ukraine's strategy to defend its territory and support stability in the region.
