Zelenskyy Reviews a Week of Long-Range Strikes Deep Inside Russia
Assessing the Week: Ukraine’s Long-Range Strike Capabilities in Action
According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has summarized the results of a week’s worth of operations by Ukraine’s long-range strike systems, which successfully hit military targets and logistics infrastructure belonging to the Russian Federation at distances of roughly 1,000 kilometers from the front lines. Among the assets destroyed were:
- a unique Be-200 amphibious aircraft
- a Ka-27 multi-purpose naval helicopter
- a civilian cargo vessel that had been repurposed to transport artillery ammunition
Additionally, over the course of the week, Ukrainian forces struck several air defense systems, including:
- the Pantsir-S1 surface-to-air missile and gun system
- the Tor surface-to-air missile system
Also eliminated were a modern Russian Redut-2US communications complex and a substantial number of reconnaissance and attack drones. Strategic assets in Russia’s oil refining sector, as well as naval vessels in various maritime zones, were also hit.
Repatriation of Fallen Defenders
Beyond battlefield achievements, Zelenskyy announced the repatriation of 528 bodies of fallen Ukrainian defenders. This operation was coordinated by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in cooperation with other components of the security and defense forces.
We will increase both the range and frequency of our sanctions. Thank you to everyone working to strengthen our power! My gratitude goes to the soldiers of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the SBU, and intelligence services for their precision. Volodymyr Zelenskyy
