Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported on the results of his negotiations with representatives of the European Union during his trip to Denmark. He managed to reach agreements with Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen, President of the European Council Charles Michel, and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen on Eurointegration, a new sanctions package, and defense cooperation.

In his social media post, Zelensky revealed the details of the meeting with European leaders on the occasion of the beginning of the Danish presidency in the EU Council.

About Eurointegration, the president said: 'We discussed our plans and the opening of negotiation clusters. We are ready for the first step and plan to start the process this year.'

18th Sanctions Package and SAFE Program

Among the key issues discussed were 'pressure on Russia and the 18th EU sanctions package, continuing military assistance to Ukraine with an emphasis on defense cooperation, and the SAFE program.' Zelensky expressed readiness to implement the agreed plans.

The president expressed gratitude to the European partners: 'Thank you to Denmark and the EU for strong support. Together we are working to protect lives and peace. We value our friendly relations.'
