The affected facilities include Bashneft-UNPZ located in Ufa, Bashkortostan, and the Kuibyshev refinery in the Samara region. Together, these plants process approximately 14.5 million tons of crude oil annually, producing fuel essential for the Russian military.

“I am grateful to our soldiers for their daily successes in applying Ukraine’s long-range sanctions. Within the last day, two refineries were struck-in Bashkortostan and the Samara region. There were also hits in the Black Sea,” Zelensky stated.
