The meeting is being held in Romania's capital, Bucharest, and brings together NATO's eastern flank members, including the Alliance's newest additions-Sweden and Finland. At the summit's opening, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis stressed the need for stronger allied support for Ukraine and Moldova. He emphasized that assistance must go beyond words, stating,
