Zelensky Arrives in Romania for Bucharest Nine Summit

According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, accompanied by First Lady Olena Zelenska, has arrived in Romania to take part in the Bucharest Nine (B9) summit. The meeting is being held in Romania's capital, Bucharest, and brings together NATO's eastern flank members, including the Alliance's newest additions-Sweden and Finland. This gathering highlights the ongoing strategic focus on regional defense and collective security.
At the summit's opening, Romanian President Klaus Iohannis stressed the need for stronger allied support for Ukraine and Moldova. He emphasized that assistance must go beyond words, stating,
“We must provide support not only declaratively but also through actions, because their security is our security.”
Iohannis also called for increased defense spending in line with decisions made at the NATO summit in The Hague.
