President Zelenskyy Awards 'Honored Artist' Title to Creator of Social Posters
Nikita Titov Receives National Honor
According to Главком: On June 28, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy signed a decree granting the prestigious title of 'Honored Artist of Ukraine' to artist Nikita Titov. The award was presented in recognition of Constitution Day in Ukraine. Titov, a Ukrainian painter, illustrator, and designer of social posters, has been celebrated for his substantial contributions to the nation's cultural landscape.
In a Facebook post, Titov expressed deep gratitude not only for this high distinction but also toward Ukraine's defenders and their families. He stated:
'I am gradually coming to terms with this moment and truly want to thank everyone for this high honor, for this recognition and trust! Above all, I want to thank those to whom I have dedicated my work in recent years! Those who defend Ukraine, those who have already returned from the front! Those who are waiting, those hoping for any news! I want to thank and honor the sons of my close friends-to my great sorrow, six families of people dear to me will never again embrace their loved ones. I want to honor all who have died for our country. I want to thank all the families of our defenders, because they make up the backbone of our strong home front.' Nikita Titov
The Value of Cultural Support
Zelenskyy also recognized artists, educators, athletes, politicians, and other figures with state awards for their outstanding contributions to strengthening Ukrainian statehood, as well as their courage and dedication in defending the nation's sovereignty and territorial integrity. Titov added:
'I write this with tears in my eyes, because every day brings us pain and trials, but we must somehow hold on to Hope and Faith. We must not lose Respect and Gratitude for those who deserve it most. We must not lose ourselves or our humanity, at least toward one another.' Nikita Titov
This recognition of Titov not only highlights his artistic contributions but also underscores the importance of supporting and honoring those who fight for Ukraine's independence.
The event serves as a powerful reminder of culture's role in society, especially during times of hardship. Honoring artists amid war demonstrates that Ukrainian culture continues to thrive and remains a vital part of national identity. The tribute to Nikita Titov further emphasizes the need to support military personnel and their families, as art often becomes the voice of the people in difficult times.
