Mykhailo Brodovych's Appointment

According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has appointed diplomat Mykhailo Brodovych as Ukraine's new Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Georgia. The appointment was formalized by decree No. 83/2026, signed on January 26.

Mykhailo Brodovych is a seasoned Ukrainian diplomat who has served in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs since 1996. He holds an honorary doctorate from the Vasyl Stefanyk Precarpathian National University. His career includes significant diplomatic postings:

  • Consul at the Consulate General of Ukraine in Istanbul,
  • Consul General of Ukraine in Krakow.

From 2015 to 2022, he served as Ukraine's Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to Slovenia.

This appointment follows President Zelenskyy's recent naming of Oleksandr Lytvynenko as Ukraine's ambassador to Serbia.
