According to Главком: In an interview with Israel's N12 television channel, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that high-level contacts with Israel have been limited since the full-scale war began, though Ukraine is prepared to collaborate on security matters. Zelenskyy specifically noted that he has had no contact with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu or the Israeli President since the invasion started.

"That is why we have not sent anyone to Israel, and no one has asked us for help either," the President emphasized.

International Visits and Potential for Partnership

President Zelenskyy has visited several Middle Eastern nations, including Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Qatar, and Jordan. Israel remains the only major regional power he has not visited. Over the past three years, Zelenskyy has met with Netanyahu only once and spoken with him twice by phone.

"Since the full-scale war began, there has been virtually no contact with the Israeli leadership," he stated.

Discussing preparations for his international tours, Zelenskyy added that he did not engage with Israeli officials at either the political or expert level. The Ukrainian leader expressed interest in cooperating on missile defense and addressing challenges in the energy sector, particularly regarding diesel fuel supplies. He stressed the necessity for open dialogue:

"When you want to receive help, you must be open and explain what the problem is. Otherwise, you cannot help."

Zelenskyy also pointed to mutual interests between Ukraine and Israel:

"We have things that Israel needs, and Israel has things that we need. He [Netanyahu] knows this well. We have a major deficit in air defense, but we also have capabilities that Israel does not, and we are ready for such a dialogue."

Thus, the Ukrainian President conveyed a readiness for cooperation, despite the recent absence of contact with Israel's top officials.
