In an interview with journalist Martha Raddatz from ABC News, he emphasized the importance of a strong Ukrainian army as the first element of security.

'First of all - it is a strong Ukrainian army, and I think everyone understands this,' Zelensky noted.

The President also highlighted the significance of American weapons, noting that only the United States has the necessary air defense capabilities, which are critically important for Ukraine's defensive capabilities. Zelensky also emphasized the need for air support, including from European partners, including F-16 fighter jets.

'We need an air defense shield. But the shield is not just air defense systems, but also planes,' the president emphasized.
