Zelensky on corruption in drone procurement: who is under sanctions and what will happen next

According to glavcom.ua: President Volodymyr Zelensky called for accountability for the identified machinations in the procurement of electronic warfare and FPV drones, deeming them immoral. The evening address of the head of state took place on August 2, where he expressed gratitude to anti-corruption agencies for uncovering facts of violations. Zelensky also announced the forced dismissal of the head of the Mukachevo District Administration, Serhiy Haidai, due to a corruption scandal and made a number of decisions regarding individuals involved in the scheme to seize budget funds intended for the needs of Ukraine's defense.

Anti-corruption agencies exposed one of the deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine, as well as heads of district and city administrations, and servicemen of the National Guard of Ukraine, for bribery. Unfortunately, these were machinations in the procurement of electronic warfare and FPV. Absolutely immoral. There must be complete and fair accountability for this.

During the investigation, it was established that an organized group was managing budget funds allocated for the country's defense needs through illegal transactions on supply contracts for electronic systems. Zelensky called for immediate actions in the fight against corruption and expects corresponding results from the investigation.

President Volodymyr Zelensky believes that the machinations committed by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office in the procurement of electronic warfare and FPV drones are absolutely immoral and demands accountability for these actions.

The Government of Ukraine and the presidential administration have taken responsibility and made a series of steps to prevent similar violations in the future.
