According to Главком: The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in his annual video address congratulated Ukrainians on the year 2026, emphasizing the importance of peace and unity in the fight against Russian aggression. He reported that the readiness for a peace agreement has reached 90 percent, which gives hope for a possible end to the conflict that has lasted for 1407 days.

Zelensky reminded that the full-scale war in Ukraine began on February 24, when Russia launched its invasion. In his speech, he noted:

“We want the war to end, but not Ukraine.”

“For our warriors who are now at the 'zero line'. For everyone who gave their life for Ukraine.”
