According to ХВИЛЯ: On February 25, 2026, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy summarized the results of the NB8 summit and the visit by Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre. The meeting focused on substantial military and financial aid packages from partners, details of negotiations with the European Union, new sanctions against Russia, and measures to bolster Ukraine's internal security.

This year, the countries of the NB8 format will direct over €12 billion in support for Ukraine. Major contributions include:

  • $1.5 billion in military aid from Sweden;
  • nearly $1.2 billion from Norway for joint drone production;
  • approximately €1 billion from the total sum allocated for Ukraine's energy sector.

Negotiations with Ursula von der Leyen and António Costa confirmed the EU's participation in the restoration and protection of Ukraine's energy infrastructure. The EU's strategy is to be presented to the government by March 1.

Sanctions and Domestic Security

The summit addressed the European Union's 20th sanctions package against Russia. Countries including the United Kingdom, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada have already implemented new sanctions. Croatia also adopted new support measures.
