Davos Economic Forum Discussions

According to ХВИЛЯ: President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the possibility of his attendance at the World Economic Forum in Davos, stressing that finalizing crucial documents for Ukraine and addressing energy issues take precedence. He emphasized that securing concrete outcomes for his nation outweighs the importance of participating in the international gathering.

"That is the priority right now. In this case, I am undoubtedly choosing Ukraine over the economic forum," the President stated.

Air Defense Costs and International Initiatives

Zelenskyy also revealed that defending Ukraine's skies cost approximately 80 million euros on that day alone. He highlighted the enemy's strategy of attempting to exhaust Ukrainian air defenses by escalating the use of Shahed drones.

"They now want to reach up to 1,000 [drones per day]-we'll see. I observe that their current average capability is around 350," he noted.

Furthermore, Zelenskyy confirmed receiving an invitation to join a 'Peace Council' initiated by Donald Trump. However, the President expressed deep skepticism about the feasibility of cooperating with Russia within such a framework.

"To be honest, I currently find it very difficult to imagine how we and Russia could be together in this or any other council," he remarked.

Overall, the President focused on the urgent need for decisions benefiting Ukraine and the continued work on vital documents, stating, "I don't see a dead end yet. Work on the documents is ongoing. There is a lot of energy in the discussions, but we need a result."

President Zelenskyy's comments underscore Ukraine's strategic priorities amid the prolonged conflict, placing national security-particularly air defense-at the forefront. His cautious stance toward the proposed 'Peace Council' reflects the profound complexities in relations with Russia and a wariness of peace initiatives that lack concrete foundations. This approach highlights Ukraine's ongoing effort to balance securing vital international support with a relentless focus on domestic stability and defense.
