Президент України провів термінову нараду у зв'язку з масованим обстрілом, що налічував 50 ракет і 297 безпілотників.

Aftermath and Official Response to Ukraine's Latest Assault

According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy convened an urgent meeting with regional leaders and security officials to address the consequences of a massive overnight Russian bombardment. This latest attack, which underscores the ongoing intensity of the conflict, involved the launch of 50 missiles, including 22 ballistic types, alongside 297 drones of various models. The primary targets were energy facilities, logistics hubs-particularly railways-and urban water supply infrastructure.

President Zelenskyy has directed Ukraine's Ministry of Defense to deploy additional air defense assets to the Sumy region. In the Shostka district, one of the Russian drones struck an ambulance, resulting in three fatalities. Separately, Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported progress in the investigation of the explosions in Lviv, where several suspects have been detained, including a woman suspected of carrying out the blasts.

The Lviv Incident and Its Consequences

The explosions in Lviv led to the death of a police officer and left numerous people wounded. The Interior Minister traveled urgently to Lviv to coordinate the investigation. Authorities are primarily investigating the possibility that the crime was commissioned by Russian special services, employing a double-explosion tactic.

The President noted that Russian targets extended beyond energy sites to include logistics and water supply infrastructure.

He stressed the critical need to scale up protection against Russian strikes and to respond swiftly to changes in enemy tactics. Zelenskyy emphasized that Russia must face consequences for every such attack and that air defense against drones must be strengthened in all border and frontline regions.

This incident reflects an escalation of hostilities in eastern Ukraine and the continuation of Russian aggression, which directly impacts civilian safety. The deployment of extra air defense measures and the intensification of terror investigations highlight the gravity of the situation and the necessity of adapting to new challenges. As the war persists, the Ukrainian government faces the constant task of ensuring public security and effectively countering threats posed by the aggressor.
