Secretary Rubio's European Itinerary

Marco Rubio is in Germany from February 13 to 15 to attend the 62nd Munich Security Conference. Following this, his schedule includes visits to Bratislava and Budapest from February 15 to 16. In Bratislava, he is set to meet with members of the Slovak government to discuss:

  • Regional security challenges;
  • Nuclear energy cooperation;
  • Diversifying energy supplies;
  • Slovakia's military modernization efforts.

In the Hungarian capital, Rubio will meet with Hungarian officials to review bilateral interests, peace processes, and energy partnerships. This series of high-level talks aims to strengthen cooperation among allies in the face of contemporary security challenges in Central Europe.

The meeting between Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Marco Rubio highlights the crucial role of sustained international support for Ukraine, especially given the protracted conflict and the urgent need to safeguard its energy security.
