Zelensky and Kellogg discussed joint production of weapons and Patriots for Ukraine

According to hvylya.net: The President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky, met on September 11 in Kyiv with the Special Representative of the President of the USA, General Keith Kellogg. This was reported by the head of state on social media.

According to Zelensky, during the negotiations, various areas of cooperation were discussed to achieve real peace and ensure Ukraine's security. In particular, the parties considered specific projects within the PURL initiative regarding the financing of the production and procurement of Patriot systems, as well as the possibilities of bilateral agreements on joint production of drones and weaponry.

'These are specific projects within the PURL initiative for financing production and procurement of Patriots, strong bilateral agreements on joint production of drones and weapons that we proposed to America. We expect a positive response from the USA,' said the Ukrainian president.

Significant attention was paid by the participants of the meeting to the issues of pressure on the Russian side. Zelensky emphasized the importance of joint actions of partners in tariff and sanctions policy to accelerate the possibility of a meeting at the leadership level and to end the war.

'We substantively discussed pressure on the Russians and what we can do together with our partners in tariff and sanctions policy to ensure that the possibility of meeting at the leaders' level arises as soon as possible and to end this war. The tripartite format of leaders is undoubtedly the most effective,' said the President of Ukraine.

Other discussed topics

Among other topics of the negotiations were the return of abducted Ukrainian children, international cooperation in this area, and the conditions in which Ukrainian children are located. Zelensky also expressed condolences to the American people regarding the murder of Charlie Kirk and thanked President Trump for the condolences and reaction to the murder of Ukrainian Irina Zarutska in North Carolina.

Separately, the parties discussed preparations for the 80th session of the UN General Assembly in New York, planned events, and coordination between Ukraine and the USA within the coalition of willing countries. According to Zelensky, potential meetings and various formats of cooperation are also being worked on.
