At Munich, Zelenskyy Warns Air Defense Missile Stocks Are Dwindling Under Relentless Attacks

According to Главком: During his speech at the 62nd Munich Security Conference (MSC 2026), Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy detailed the severe challenges in resupplying air defense units with missiles. He explained that logistical delays and the sheer intensity of Russian bombardments often prevent Ukraine from restocking its military units before new attacks commence. This ongoing war has placed immense strain on Ukraine's defense logistics, highlighting a critical vulnerability.

Zelenskyy stressed that while Ukrainian air defense units expend missiles to intercept Russian strikes, their arsenals are not always replenished in time.

"These units used their missiles to stop Russian strikes, but the resupply didn't arrive, and intelligence indicates a new massive attack could come in 1-2 days. Sometimes we manage to deliver new missiles right before the strikes, sometimes-literally at the last moment,"

he stated.

The PURL Initiative

In his address, Zelenskyy also referenced an initiative called PURL (Prioritized Ukraine Requirements List), which he said is designed to help resolve the issue of supplying necessary resources to the Ukrainian army. Given the urgency of the situation, the president called for support and cooperation from international partners to enhance Ukraine's air defense system. The initiative aims to streamline and prioritize the delivery of vital military aid from Western allies.
