Address by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy

According to ХВИЛЯ: In a national address on the 1467th day of the war, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that the country has successfully endured its most difficult winter, preserving its energy grid. He reported that over 700 missiles of various types were launched against Ukraine during the winter, stressing that no nation has ever faced such trials. Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukrainian forces repelled a large number of mass strikes, some of which involved dozens of missiles and hundreds of 'Shahed' drones in a single attack.

The President also warned of new Russian attacks on infrastructure, noting that according to intelligence reports, Russia is preparing fresh assaults. He called for an end to the war, asserting that

“Russia must end its war against Ukraine, end it with dignity, and diplomacy has the power to ensure this”

The Middle East Situation and Iran's Role

Furthermore, Zelenskyy commented on the situation in the Middle East and Iran's role. He noted that Iran has supplied Russia with 'Shahed' drones and the technology to produce them. The President stressed the importance of closely monitoring changes in the situation around Iran, pointing out that this regime, which has killed tens of thousands of its own citizens in recent months alone, has always supported and organized wars in the region.

Thus, the Ukrainian President's address not only provided a winter summary but also issued a call to the international community to focus on Russian aggression and Iran's role in the conflict. This appeal may help increase diplomatic pressure on Russia and galvanize international efforts to support Ukraine in the face of new attack threats. Meanwhile, the focus on Iran underscores the importance of the global context, where an aggressor's allies can significantly influence the course of the conflict in Ukraine and the wider region. The ongoing war highlights the interconnected nature of global security threats.
