Following a meeting with the leaders of the main law enforcement and anti-corruption agencies, the head of state announced the achievement of fundamental agreements. Representatives from various services participated in the meetings, including the SBU, NABU, SAP, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, NAPC, DBR, and the Prosecutor General's Office.
Zelensky reported on the preparation of a presidential bill that should ensure 'strength in the law enforcement system' and eliminate any Russian influence on the activities of law enforcement agencies. The development of specific steps to strengthen the rule of law in the country is also planned.
Agreement with Turkey and negotiations with Russia
In foreign policy, the president pointed to active negotiations in Turkey and future meetings with representatives of Russia in Istanbul. The main points of discussion remain the release of prisoners, the return of children, and a ceasefire.
'We conduct checks on each surname. We are searching for all information. There have already been many cases when guys were on the list of the missing, but we found them in captivity,' Zelensky explained.
The president also signed a decree simplifying bureaucratic procedures and conducting an urgent audit of state expenditures to redistribute resources for defense needs.
