President Zelenskyy Honors Ukrainian Soldiers with Top Military Awards
Military and Security Personnel Receive State Honors
According to Главком: On January 29, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented state awards to members of the military and security services. The ceremony saw the conferral of the 'Golden Star' Order and 'Crosses of Military Merit' to soldiers of Ukraine's Defense and Security Forces. Some of these high honors were awarded posthumously and received by the families of fallen soldiers. These awards are among the highest distinctions for valor in Ukraine.
During the event, Zelenskyy also congratulated staff of the State Guard Department on their professional holiday and presented them with state awards. Among the recipients was former Member of Parliament Oleg Lyashko.
A Call for National Unity
Zelenskyy stressed the critical importance of national unity, emphasizing the need to pressure the enemy and achieve the ultimate goals of ensuring Ukraine's security and freedom. He stated that thanks to all the soldiers and the people of Ukraine, there is every chance of reaching these objectives.
'Thank you! Glory to our defenders!' Zelenskyy remarked, underscoring the vital importance of military service to the nation.
