Zelensky called on allies to strengthen air defense

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky urged his allies to enhance air defense, drawing on Ukrainian experience. This became known after Russian drones entered Polish airspace. This was reported by Reuters.

Zelensky emphasized that expensive missile systems, such as the American Patriot, are ineffective against cheap drones. He called on other countries to take into account the Ukrainian experience, where a domestic system to counter Russian aerial attacks has been developed.

“No one in the world has enough missiles to shoot down all types of drones,” Zelensky noted.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk agreed to send his military personnel to Ukraine for training in shooting down drones. In this way, Polish soldiers will be able to learn from their Ukrainian colleagues.

Sanctions package against Russia

After the invasion of 19 Russian drones into the European Union, the sanctions package will be a response to Russia's aggressive actions. Preparations for this package are currently underway. It is worth noting that during the massive attack on Ukraine on the night of September 10, strike drones penetrated into Poland, where Polish troops had to shoot them down.

During the meeting, a decision was made to strengthen air defense and respond to threats from drones. Zelensky emphasized the importance of sharing experience and preparing the alliance for new security challenges.
