According to Главком: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has signed a decree officially establishing June 11 as the annual Day of the Unmanned Systems Forces. This move comes as Ukraine continues to advance its drone capabilities-just one year after the creation of the Unmanned Systems Forces unit, its strikes against Russian targets have resulted in nearly $40 billion in damages.

Zelenskyy noted that Ukraine is the first country in the world to establish unmanned systems as a separate branch of its military. He underscored the significance of this achievement for the nation, stating:

'For the first time anywhere in the world, right here in Ukraine, we created this type of military force. We are developing the USF to the fullest, and it is Ukrainians who have proven that through technology, creativity, and courage, we can change the nature of war-we can achieve objectives that were previously either completely unattainable with conventional weapons, or extremely difficult and resource-intensive to reach.' The president also expressed his appreciation for Ukrainian troops, highlighting that the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine now serve as a model for many other militaries. 'In recent months, we are especially grateful for the mid-range strikes: Russian military logistics across the entire depth of the temporarily occupied territory is now within reach of Ukrainian drones. The Russian border region is also feeling our impact. The enemy senses this, and we will continue to increase the pressure. We will further strengthen the USF. I thank you, warriors, and all units, all components of our Defense and Security Forces of Ukraine, who together and in coordination deliver precisely the strikes that are needed,' Zelenskyy added.
