Meeting of the President of Ukraine with the new head of the Special Operations Center 'A'

According to Главком: President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky met with the new head of the Special Operations Center 'A' of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU), Yevhen Khmara. This meeting took place in the context of recent changes in the leadership of the security service, particularly after the dismissal of Serhiy Dusyka from the position of head of the Special Operations Center in 2023.

Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude to Yevhen Khmara and all the special forces fighters for their significant combat work throughout the full-scale war. The President noted that the experience of Ukrainian special forces and the Special Operations Center 'A' of the SBU will be scaled up to enhance the effectiveness of operational activities.

Changes in the leadership of the SBU

Moreover, Zelensky thanked the former head of the SBU, Vasyl Maliuk, for his combat work and called for a focus on further activities in this area. Recall that on January 5, 2024, Vasyl Maliuk resigned from the position of head of the SBU, which also became an important stage in the transformations within Ukrainian security services.

Changes in the leadership of the Security Service of Ukraine are occurring against the backdrop of an ongoing war and the need to enhance the operational effectiveness of security services. The appointment of a new head of the Special Operations Center 'A' emphasizes the importance of adapting and improving the response strategy to security challenges in the context of armed conflict.

Further steps in this area may influence the overall situation in Ukraine and its ability to ensure stability and security in the country.
