Zheleznyak announced that he identified the owner of the Telegram channel Absolution Leaks

People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak announced that he identified the person who, according to him, stands behind the anonymous Telegram channel Absolution Leaks. He also suggested how the channel operates and spreads commissioned materials. No independent confirmations of these claims were provided in the video. 

Absolution Leaks: What Yaroslav Zheleznyak said

According to the deputy, the channel was created in August 2023, and its audience is about 154 thousand subscribers. Zheleznyak believes that the actual reach may be lower due to inorganic audience.

The deputy claims that most of the posts on Absolution Leaks consist of messages from law enforcement agencies and court decisions. At the same time, some posts, in his opinion, are character attacks on businessmen, politicians, and anti-corruption activists.

Zheleznyak also stated that he researched the connections of the channel with the "International Investigative Bureau" and named the likely administrator. The material does not provide a response from this person to the allegations made.

Allegations of commissioned publications require verification

In the video, the deputy suggested that negative materials on the channel could be used to pressure the subjects of the publications. He stated that some posts were later deleted; however, evidence of payment for posting or removal of content was not shown in the published material.

Zheleznyak also expressed the opinion that anonymous Telegram channels can influence the information space by spreading unverified accusations. He called on those who consider themselves victims of defamatory publications to protect their rights through legal means.

Importantly, the deputy's statements are his public position and assessment. Until comments from representatives of the channel, the individual he named, or results from competent authorities are available, they cannot be considered established facts.

Earlier, Zheleznyak announced a crackdown on corrupt officials due to EU requirements and 90 billion euros.
