Zheleznyak called on Pyshny to resign after NABU searches
People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak called on the head of the National Bank Andriy Pyshny to resign after the searches in the National Bank. He reports this on his YouTube channel "Iron People's Deputy".
According to the parliamentarian, his sources link the investigative actions with the enterprise "Karpatnaftokhim" and the circumstances of the management of the state "Sens Bank". At the same time, the deputy emphasized that the conduct of searches does not mean notification of suspicion.
«Let's emphasize the word “searches” first. This is not yet suspicion,” Zheleznyak noted.
What Zheleznyak said about the materials of the TSK
The deputy stated that the temporary investigative commission of the Verkhovna Rada studied the circumstances of the change of ownership of "Karpatnaftokhim" and the formation of the supervisory board of "Sens Bank". In both episodes, according to him, Vasyl Vesely is involved.
Zheleznyak also reminded of the questions to Pyshny regarding a possible meeting with Andriy Yermak, Vesely, and representatives of the enterprise. In the provided fragment of the meeting, the head of the NBU denied holding such a meeting.
According to the parliamentarian, the commission received oral and written explanations from the former head of the bank's supervisory board regarding Vesely's appointment as an advisor. The collected documents, Zheleznyak reported, were handed over to the NABU at the request of the detectives.
At the same time, the deputy voiced the possible connection of the searches with these episodes remains his version, citing sources.
Is Pyshny's resignation confirmed?
Zheleznyak stated that he cannot confirm the information about a supposedly submitted resignation letter. However, he believes that the head of the regulator should leave the position so that the situation around him does not affect the reputation of the institution.
«The National Bank is an important institution,” the deputy emphasized, separately noting the stability of the banking system during the full-scale war.
Pyshny himself stated after the searches that the criminal proceedings are not related to the activities of the National Bank or his official work. According to him, investigators were looking for evidence regarding other circumstances and individuals.
At the time of the NABU's announcement about the conduct of investigative actions, no one was detained and no one was notified of suspicion. Zheleznyak's forecast regarding the possible announcement of it is not a procedural decision of law enforcement agencies.
