Розпочалася зимова допомога: понад 1.8 мільйона українців отримують по 1000 гривень.

Payments under the Winter Support Program

In Ukraine, payments of 1000 Hryvnias have started under the Winter Support Program. Minister of Social Policy Denys Uliutin reported that over 1.8 million pensioners and recipients of social benefits are receiving these payments. The first funds were sent to citizens who applied through the 'Diia' app on the first day of the initiative's launch.

The state allocated almost 1.9 billion Hryvnias based on applications submitted through 'Diia' on November 15. Moreover, over 550 thousand people have contacted 'Ukrposhta' branches with applications to receive the 'winter thousand'. Denys Uliutin noted that:

“More than 1.8 million pensioners and recipients of social benefits, served through 'Ukrposhta', are already gradually receiving the 'winter thousand'.”

Assistance for the Most Vulnerable Groups of the Population

Additionally, over 230 thousand requests have been received for assistance of 6,500 Hryvnias for the most vulnerable groups of the population. Applications for this assistance can be submitted until December 17, and the first payments will start on December 10. It is important to note that over 280 thousand families have already received compensation for consumed electricity. Denys Uliutin emphasized that:

“Applications for this payment can be submitted until December 17.”

This program is part of the Ukrainian government's efforts to support the population in conditions of economic instability caused by various factors, including global crises and internal challenges. The payments initiated by the government aim to provide financial assistance to the most vulnerable segments of the population, including pensioners and socially disadvantaged citizens. The implementation of the program reflects the state's efforts to improve social protection and alleviate the financial burden on citizens during the winter period.
