Mykolaiv Athlete Haik Mikaelyan Sets World Record with 1,355 Spins on a Treadmill in One Hour
Haik Mikaelyan’s Unprecedented World Record
According to Рубрика — Суспільство: Haik Mikaelyan, a resident of Mykolaiv, has shattered the world record by completing 1,355 full spins around his own axis during an hour of nonstop running on a treadmill. Over this time, he covered a total distance of 10 kilometers and 350 meters. The achievement was officially documented by Lana Vietrova, head of the National Registry of Records of Ukraine. She noted that Mikaelyan maintained an impressive pace of nearly 10.5 km/h, completing each full rotation in just 2.7 seconds.
"The highest number of 360-degree rotations while running on a treadmill. In one hour, he ran 10.35 km and completed an astonishing 1,355 full spins."

Vietrova emphasized the extraordinary focus required for such a feat, stating, "Maintaining 'iron concentration' is essential-one misstep at this speed almost certainly leads to injury. Every spin carries the risk of slipping, stepping off the edge, or falling off the treadmill. An average person would lose balance and feel dizzy after just 20 to 30 quick spins in place."
Other Notable Ukrainian Records
Ukraine continues to showcase exceptional athletic talent with other remarkable records. Among them, serviceman Oleksandr Polukishnik holds the national record for the longest sports knife throw, reaching 18 meters. Polukishnik is also a European champion in his discipline. Additionally, on August 22 in Lviv, a National Record for the largest group performing the CrossFit 'Murph' workout was set, involving military personnel, veterans, and members of the Defense and Security Forces.
"An extraordinary display of complete mastery over one’s body! Congratulations to Haik Mikaelyan for joining the ranks of global record holders."
