According to the publication, Simonyan has been found to have 'very serious health problems'. The question of her continued work in the media holding is currently being considered, as well as the possibility of her resignation.
Margarita Simonyan heads the media holding 'Russia Today', which includes the RT channel and the 'RIA Novosti' agency. The channel's funding is provided by government sources, and over 31 billion rubles are planned to be allocated to RT by 2025.
