Zoryana Stetsiuk Appointed as State Secretary of Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense to Lead Its Administrative Operations

In this role, she will oversee the Ministry’s administrative apparatus, ensuring its smooth operation and driving institutional growth. With over a decade of experience in public service, Stetsiuk brings a wealth of expertise to this critical leadership position.

Before her current appointment, Stetsiuk served as Director of a key Directorate within the Ministry of Defense, where she played a central role in building new institutional capacities, advancing digital transformation, streamlining internal processes, and spearheading reform initiatives. Prior to her tenure at the Defense Ministry, she led the Public Services Reengineering Directorate at the Ministry of Digital Transformation. Since July 2025, she has also held the position of Deputy Minister within the same ministry.

Primary Responsibilities in Her New Role

Stetsiuk’s main objectives as State Secretary will focus on:

• coordinating activities across various structural divisions,
• ensuring leadership continuity and creating conditions for uninterrupted and stable Ministry operations.
