According to ХВИЛЯ: The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has confirmed successful strikes against Russian military assets on temporarily occupied territories. In the early hours of February 9, Ukrainian defenders hit a command post for a Russian airborne unit located in the Sudzha district of Russia's Kursk region. Additionally, an enemy ammunition depot near Novooleksiivka in the Kherson region was brought under fire control. These strikes represent Ukraine's ongoing efforts to disrupt Russian military logistics and command deep behind the front lines.
Based on preliminary damage assessments, three containers holding FPV drones and related components were also destroyed at a drone storage site in the Rostov-on-Don area. According to intelligence reports, the enemy lost approximately 6,000 FPV drones in this strike. Several other containers with military equipment sustained significant damage.
Ukraine's Strategic Aims
The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine stated that the country's defense forces will continue to systematically implement measures aimed at degrading Russia's offensive capabilities and reducing its combat potential.
These strikes are part of Ukraine's broader strategy to weaken Russian military capacity in occupied territories. The destruction of critical assets like command centers and ammunition depots demonstrates the Ukrainian military's active campaign to shape the battlefield. The continuation of such operations is likely to impact the course of combat and the adversary's future strategy.
