Ukraine's Armed Forces Introduce New Award for Electronic Warfare Specialists

'Achievements in Electronic Warfare' Badge Announced

According to Мін. Оборони: The Armed Forces of Ukraine have established a new honorary award, the 'Achievements in Electronic Warfare' badge, specifically for Electronic Warfare (EW) specialists. This initiative is designed to formally recognize the critical contributions of military personnel in the domain of electronic combat.

Criteria for Receiving the Award

The award will be presented to specialists who successfully neutralize enemy drones and missiles using EW systems. It will be conferred for:

• Successful execution of combat (special) tasks in conducting electronic warfare;
• Demonstrated initiative during the planning and deployment of EW assets (systems);
• Significant contribution to the development, maintenance, and combat application of EW assets (systems);
• The design, implementation, and testing of new models of EW assets (systems).

The introduction of this award underscores the growing recognition of electronic warfare's pivotal role in modern military conflicts. This field has become a decisive factor in countering the drone and missile threats that define the current battlefield.
