Russian assaults in Zaporizhzhia: Huliaipole held, the enemy stopped at the approaches
According to the spokesperson of the Southern Defense Forces, Russian troops were unable to break through to the city of Huliaipole in Zaporizhzhia region. While heavy fighting continues on the approaches to the city, the enemy is currently not in Huliaipole itself. Ukrainian defense forces are holding their positions, preventing the adversary from approaching the city.
Combat actions have intensified in the southern directions of Zaporizhzhia region. In recent days, over 70 clashes with Russian troops trying to launch attacks have been recorded. Most assaults are carried out by small infantry groups, but some directions employ tanks and motorcycles for assault actions.
Additionally, Ukrainian forces liberated the village of Ivanivka on the border of Donetsk and Dnipropetrovsk regions, successfully carrying out an operation. Active search and strike actions continue to eliminate the occupiers in other areas.
'Ukrainian positions in the city center are maintained, gun battles continue, and the enemy fails to establish a foothold. Assault troops are involved in eliminating the enemy in the city center,' Voloshin added.
Ukrainian defense forces have successfully carried out operations in the southern directions, where they managed to repel attacks from Russian troops and liberate the village from the occupiers. The confrontation continues, and local residents receive significant support in defending their homes from enemy threats.
