Meeting between Zelensky and Trump

According to Главком: The meeting between Volodymyr Zelensky and Donald Trump did not lead to significant changes in positions, although negotiations continue. Trump expressed his willingness to visit Ukraine and address the Verkhovna Rada. Zelensky announced that the final stage of preparation of the joint settlement plan, which consists of 20 points and is 90% agreed upon, has been reached.

During the meeting, Donald Trump noted that if his visit to Ukraine would help stop the war, he would be ready to do so. He also expressed the view that the Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has a genuine interest in achieving peace and a successful future for Ukraine. The U.S. President added that Russia is willing to join the process of rebuilding the Ukrainian state.

Negotiations and further steps

Despite the agreements reached, there have been no significant changes in the positions of the parties, and negotiations continue. The question of further steps in implementing the settlement plan remains open, which, as Zelensky notes, is approaching the final stage.

The meeting between Zelensky and Trump underscores the importance of international support for Ukraine in the context of the ongoing war. Despite positive statements regarding readiness for cooperation, real steps in resolving the conflict remain uncertain. Further progress in implementing the joint settlement plan may depend on the actions of Russia and the international community, as well as on Ukraine's ability to attract the necessary resources for reconstruction.
