Ukrainian Forces Liberate Over 400 Square Kilometers in Dnipropetrovsk Region
Southern Ukraine Offensive Operation
According to Главком: Ukrainian defense forces are continuing a successful offensive operation in the south, which has resulted in the liberation of nearly the entire Dnipropetrovsk region. This significant achievement in the fight against Russian occupation forces has seen over 400 square kilometers of territory retaken. Major General Oleksandr Komarenko, head of the Main Operational Directorate of the General Staff, stated that efforts are now focused on securing three remaining small settlements and clearing two others.
According to Komarenko, a slightly smaller area has undergone clearance operations in the rear zone to eliminate hostile individuals who may have infiltrated the liberated territories.
“Already, over 400 square kilometers of our territory have been liberated. On a somewhat smaller area, clearance of the rear zone from hostile individuals who infiltrated there has been conducted. Almost the entire territory of Dnipropetrovsk region has been liberated,” he noted.
Effectiveness of Offensive Actions
It is also worth noting that in February of this year, more territory was liberated than was lost. Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrskyi, reported that 85 targets were struck using DeepStrike systems. The Ukrainian defense forces in the south have regained control of up to 435 square kilometers of territory, underscoring the effectiveness of the operations conducted.
Thus, the situation in the south of Dnipropetrovsk region remains under the control of Ukrainian military personnel, who continue to work on the final liberation of the territory from the occupiers.
The recent successes of Ukrainian forces in Dnipropetrovsk region indicate the continuation of active combat operations in the area and the capability of Ukrainian troops to conduct offensive operations. The liberation of significant territories could have strategic importance for future actions on the front, providing not only a tactical advantage but also boosting the morale of troops and the civilian population. Monitoring the further development of the situation in the region will be important for assessing the overall dynamics of the conflict. The Dnipropetrovsk region, situated in central-southern Ukraine, has been a critical area for logistics and defense since the full-scale invasion began.
