Instead of MSEK, a fundamentally new system will appear in Ukraine
By the end of 2024, the work of medical and social expert commissions (MSEK) will cease in Ukraine. Instead, a new system for assessing work capacity will be introduced, which will provide the possibility of remote assessment.
This was announced by the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
According to the head of the government, the new system will be primarily focused on human needs. The first stage of the reform has already begun – a bill has been submitted to the Verkhovna Rada, which defines the algorithm for assessing the daily functioning of an individual.
According to the new system, expert teams, consisting of practicing doctors, will assess the patient's condition in three categories:
- permanent complete limitation of work capacity
- permanent partial limitation of work capacity
- able-bodied person
"The new system will be fully digitalized and will provide the possibility of remote, absentee, and on-site assessment. The main goal – to ensure maximum rehabilitation of the individual, their return to active life, and adaptation of the workplace according to individual needs," – emphasized Denys Shmyhal.
Also, let's remind: The Cabinet is developing an updated system of economic booking from mobilization.
