How the 'Medevac Ukraine' program works
Launched in April 2022, the program, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the European Union, the World Health Organization, and the governments of European countries, provides Ukrainians the opportunity to receive medical assistance abroad for free.
The process of participating in the program involves a request from the treating physician with the consent of the patient or their representatives and the review of the application by European countries. The transportation of patients is provided by emergency medical teams and disaster medicine.
