According to glavcom.ua: The special forces of the Ukrainian Marine Brigade successfully carried out an operation to detain Russian occupants who attempted to break through to the outskirts of Myrnograd. 11 enemies were taken prisoner, information about this was published on the brigade's social media.

According to available data, groups of occupants were tasked with trying to secure one of the directions and continue the offensive in small groups. However, before the unsuccessful beginning of the operational exit to the positions of the Ukrainian forces, the groups were surrounded and arrested.

Among the captured Russians were those who spoke about financial difficulties that forced them to join the fight. Another was called up from a job at a mine. Further details and circumstances of these surrenders were clarified during the interrogation.

It turned out that the Russian fighters ended up in captivity due to the fear of becoming victims of ill-conceived military operations. Most felt fear due to the unjust orders of commanders.
