12-14 жовтня: Західна Україна страждає від дощу та туману, тоді як на півночі спостерігається покращення погодних умов.

Weather Outlook for Ukraine from October 12 to 14

According to Рубрика — Суспільство: On October 12, most regions of Ukraine will experience cloudy skies with occasional breaks and widespread rainfall. Temperatures will vary depending on the area. Between October 12 and 14, rain is expected across much of the country, but showers will gradually ease in the western and northern parts. Additionally, fog is likely to form overnight and in the mornings, particularly in western regions.

According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, moderate rain will affect several areas, including:

  • the northern regions;
  • Vinnytsia region during the night;
  • western areas during the daytime;
  • Cherkasy, Kirovohrad, and Odessa regions.

Heavy rainfall is possible at night in Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions, while other parts of Ukraine are expected to remain dry. Winds will predominantly come from the southeast, shifting to northwest in the western and northern zones, with speeds ranging from 5 to 10 meters per second.

Nighttime temperatures will range between 8 and 13°C, dropping to 3–8°C in the far west. Daytime highs will reach 12–17°C in the west, most northern regions, and Vinnytsia, while other areas can expect warmer conditions between 18 and 23°C.

In Kyiv and its surrounding region, October 12 will bring mostly cloudy skies with occasional sunshine and moderate rain. Localized heavy rain may occur overnight in Kyiv Oblast. Temperatures in Kyiv city will hover between 10 and 12°C at night and rise to 13–15°C during the day. Surrounding areas will see nighttime lows of 8–13°C and daytime highs from 12 to 17°C.

Additional Weather Details

Beyond October 12, rain will continue to impact most of Ukraine through the 14th, with particularly heavy nighttime showers in Chernivtsi, Khmelnytskyi, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, and Kyiv regions on the 12th. From October 13 onward, precipitation is expected to gradually subside in the northern parts, while fog patches will persist overnight and in the mornings across the west. Night temperatures will fluctuate between 6 and 14°C nationwide, dropping to 1–8°C in western areas. Daytime temperatures will generally range from 10 to 17°C, with southern, eastern, and central parts experiencing warmer highs between 18 and 23°C on October 12.

The forecasted heavy rains over these days coincide with a critical period for Ukraine’s agriculture, as autumn fieldwork is underway. These weather conditions may also disrupt transportation, especially in the western and northern regions, where fog could reduce visibility and cause delays. It is important to consider that nighttime cooling may bring frost to some areas, which could affect outdoor activities and farming plans.
