Kyiv pensioners receive extra payment in April 2026
В квітні 2026 року 13 мільйонів українців отримають одноразову допомогу в розмірі 1500 гривень.

One-Time Targeted Payment Scheduled for April 2026

According to ХВИЛЯ: The Ukrainian Cabinet of Ministers has approved a one-time targeted payment of 1500 hryvnias for specific categories of citizens, to be issued in April 2026. According to the Ministry of Social Policy, the funds will be disbursed automatically, simplifying the process for recipients. This measure is part of broader social support efforts within the country.

Approximately 13 million Ukrainians are set to receive the 1500 hryvnia payment. Funds will be transferred directly to bank accounts or delivered via Ukrposhta, the national postal service. As a general rule, to qualify, a recipient's pension must not exceed 25,595 hryvnias. However, this income limit is waived for war veterans who have served since 2014 and for liquidators of the Chornobyl nuclear disaster.

Eligible Groups and Payment Process

The following categories of citizens are eligible for this assistance:

  • Retirees due to age, disability, or length of service;
  • Individuals receiving survivor's benefits;
  • Internally displaced persons;
  • Low-income families;
  • Single mothers;
  • Orphans;
  • Children whose parents evade alimony payments;
  • Persons with childhood disabilities;
  • Recipients of basic social assistance;
  • Citizens without pension entitlements.

The Ministry of Social Policy has stated that recipients will not need to submit applications, contact social protection agencies, or gather additional documents. The payment will be made only once per person, even if an individual qualifies under multiple categories. Officials note this will be possible following a technical cross-check of state registries.

This government initiative aims to support vulnerable segments of the population amid the ongoing economic challenges facing the nation. Automating the payment process is intended to reduce bureaucratic hurdles for aid recipients, representing a significant step toward ensuring social equity and supporting those in greatest need.

As the government prepares to implement this one-time assistance, it is essential for eligible citizens to stay informed about the specifics of the payment process.
