In Mostyska, Lviv region, an event took place where Ukrainian Deputy Foreign Minister Oleksandr Mischenko participated in the reburial ceremony of the remains of Polish Army soldiers, who were exhumed from the territory of the former village of Stari Zboishcha.

The participants of the event emphasized the importance of dignified commemoration of Ukrainians in Poland and Poles in Ukraine. This continued the Ukrainian-Polish dialogue on historical issues and the implementation of agreements between the countries.

- These are the very values that today’s Ukrainian defenders uphold as they protect the Ukrainian state and heroically halt the onslaught of the Russian aggressor - noted Oleksandr Mischenko.

The ceremony was also attended by representatives of various Ukrainian and Polish institutions, including the Minister of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, Marta Cenkevska, and the Deputy Minister of National Defense of Poland, Stanisław Żłobek.

Oleksandr Mischenko expressed gratitude to Poland for its support in Ukrainian matters and emphasized the readiness for further cooperation between the countries in the dignified commemoration of fallen Ukrainians and Poles.

This event is an important step in restoring and improving relations between Ukraine and Poland, promoting the development of dialogue and mutual understanding between the nations. The activities carried out during the ceremony confirm the importance of honoring and remembering fallen soldiers, which is a crucial element of the shared history of both countries.
