Ukraine and the EU are launching a new grant program Brave1 — EU4UA Defence Tech with a total amount of €3,300,000. This program is aimed at supporting Ukrainian defense innovations. The first stage will focus on enhancing sky protection against Russian drones using high-speed interceptors and radars. The maximum grant amount is €150,000, which will cover technology validation, prototype creation, and testing. The program is set to start on December 1, with the application deadline on January 14, 2026. In the following year, two other stages are also planned to address current challenges on the front. In addition to grants, the program includes other tools for the development of defense technology, such as regulatory changes, Brave1 Expo Room, and a hackathon.
