According to Велика українська енциклопедія: On December 17, we celebrate the 92nd anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Ukrainian architect and restorer Bohdan Yaroslavovych Kindzelsky. He was born in 1933 in the village of Bilyi Kamen, which is now located in the Zolochiv district of Lviv region, and died on January 21, 2001, in Lviv.

Bohdan Kindzelsky along with his colleague I. Mohytych conducted research on sacred monuments of wooden architecture throughout Ukraine, developed restoration project plans, and supervised the execution of works. He was a recognized expert in the field of restoration of wooden churches and bell towers.

“Author, co-author, head of author's teams of over 50 implemented restoration projects of remarkable wooden architectural monuments.”

Bohdan Kindzelsky was known not only for his creativity but also for his important role in preserving the national cultural heritage. His contribution to the restoration and research of Ukrainian architecture remains extremely valuable for contemporary society.
