A Ukrainian guy from Lviv, who tried to illegally enter Hungary across the border, aware of the risks, was detained by border services in Chop. According to 'Glavkom', the young man, eager to improve his financial situation, decided to travel to European Union countries. The lack of legal documents prompted him to take a desperate risk, but his plans were thwarted when a border patrol noticed him and detained him for violating legislation.
Having attempted to enter the neighboring country without the proper permits, the guy tried to cross the border without documents, but was stopped and identified. It turned out that this was not the first attempt at illegal border crossing: since November 2024, he had tried to penetrate through the border with Moldova, Slovakia, and Hungary. The guy was taken into custody and will be held accountable for violating Ukrainian legislation.
This case is just one of many threats to border security that jeopardize the integrity of the state border. Legal travel and migration pathways continue to pose a significant challenge for law enforcement in ensuring border security.
