According to Рубрика — Суспільство: October 2 witnessed the highest level of combat activity in recent times, especially across the Pokrovske and Kostiantynivka sectors. In total, 194 engagements took place, resulting in significant Russian losses estimated at 1,560 personnel. Ukrainian defenders successfully repelled 19 enemy assaults in the Pokrovske direction, where Russian forces attempted advances toward Dobropillia, Svitlyi, Myrne, Serhiivka, and Molodetske.

Meanwhile, 21 attacks were recorded in the Kostiantynivka area, with enemy storm operations targeting the following locations:

• Kostiantynivka
• Osikove
• Oleksiievo-Druzhkivka
• Novoselivka
• Illinivka
• Kindrashivka
• Rozkishne
• Hruzke
• Vilne

To counter these operations, Ukrainian aviation, missile troops, and artillery delivered precise strikes on key enemy assets, including:

On the offensive side, Russian forces launched one missile strike and 90 air attacks, dropping 275 guided bombs. The Ukrainian General Staff reports the enemy deployed 9,522 kamikaze drones and carried out 2,435 shelling incidents against civilian settlements and Ukrainian positions, including 33 attacks utilizing multiple launch rocket systems.

Artillery fire impacted populated areas in Sumy region such as:

In the South Slobozhansky direction, Ukrainian forces repelled 8 enemy assaults aimed at advancing toward Starytsia, Vovchansk, Okhrimivka, Karaichychi, and Izbytske. Storm operations were also reported in the Kupiansk, Lyman, Sloviansk, and Oleksandrivka areas.

Since the onset of the war, Russian personnel losses have reached approximately 1,538,950. The frontline remains highly contested with intense fighting across multiple directions, yet Ukrainian troops continue to mount effective resistance against the invading forces.
