Power Outage Schedules in Ukraine

According to Главком: On January 3, 2023, power outage schedules will be implemented in Kyiv. This decision applies not only to the capital, as hourly power outage schedules will also be implemented in all regions of Ukraine. Power outages will occur according to specific shifts, which will help distribute the load on the power grid.

The power outage schedules include several shifts with different time intervals. For example:

  • 1.1 shift: outage from 14:00 to 18:00
  • 1.2 shift: outage from 14:00 to 19:00
  • 2.1 shift: outage from 14:00 to 18:00
  • 2.2 shift: outage from 17:30 to 21:00
  • 3.1 shift: power available all day
  • 3.2 shift: outage from 08:00 to 11:00
  • 4.1 shift: outage from 08:00 to 11:00
  • 4.2 shift: outage from 17:30 to 22:00
  • 5.1 shift: power available all day
  • 5.2 shift: outage from 21:00 to 24:00
  • 6.1 and 6.2 shifts: outage from 10:30 to 14:30

These power outage schedules are designed to ensure the stability of electricity supply amid increased load on the energy system.

Importance of Power Outage Schedules

The introduction of power outage schedules is a response to the challenges facing Ukraine's energy system, especially amid the rising demand for electricity. Such measures will help avoid the collapse of the energy network and ensure a more even distribution of resources, which is critically important for sustaining the livelihoods of cities and villages.

Consumers are advised to familiarize themselves with the schedules to plan their day according to potential power outages.
