Germany’s Federal Youth Camp hosts 30 Ukrainian adolescents for the third straight summer.

According to Рубрика: This summer, a group of 30 Ukrainian young people traveled to Germany’s Federal Youth Camp-making it their third consecutive visit. The BGV Charitable Foundation supported the trip, which brought the teens to the town of Lebach for an eight-day program with a magic and adventure theme. Among the participants were 23 teenagers from the Zhytomyr-based center “SvITY” and 7 young people from Volyn Oblast, each linked to families of active servicemen, veterans, fallen defenders, or internally displaced persons.

Known as Malteser Jugend Bundeslager, the camp offered a wide array of activities: themed trials, workshops, team challenges, a Triwizard Tournament, an excursion day, a photo contest, a social initiative, and a night hike. A children’s and youth council was also active during the event, helping to organize activities and provide support to participants. The program closed with a festive “Night of Phoenix Fire” and a final meeting where the teenagers exchanged impressions and memories.

Earlier in the summer, teens from “SvITY” had already taken part in a restorative camp in Dzembronia, in the Carpathian Mountains. That event, like the camp in Germany, was organized by the BGV Charitable Foundation, which has been actively supporting projects for children and young people. In April 2026, after a rocket strike on Korosten, 36 children from the Zhytomyr region were sent to Tallinn for a ten-day recovery stay, arranged by the BGV Charitable Foundation, Tallinn’s municipal government, and the Zhytomyr Regional Military Administration. These efforts show the foundation’s continued commitment to Ukrainian children in times of crisis.

For Ukrainian teens, joining international settings such as Germany’s Federal Youth Camp is a meaningful step in their social development and helps them feel more connected to the wider world.

Offering both rest and personal growth, such experiences also help strengthen international ties and send a clear message of support to young Ukrainians living through hardship.
