77 apartments with a 60% discount in the center of Kyiv: Zheleznyak revealed the ownership of Mindič

People's Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak publicly announced new details of the resonant story involving businessman Timur Mindič, whom journalists associate with the purchase of 77 apartments in Kyiv at a price significantly lower than the market value. 

This concerns the investigation “Where does Karlson live?”, published by Economic Truth, which caused a wide public resonance. 

According to journalists, in 2021, an investment fund associated with Mindič received 77 apartments in a residential complex in the center of the capital for a price of about 18 thousand UAH per square meter, whereas the market value is about 48 thousand UAH. The difference was estimated by journalists at about 5 million dollars. The developer was the company Perfect Group, which is linked to former people's deputy Dmytro Isayenko.

What is known about the land and Mindič's construction

In his video, Zheleznyak points to the origin of the land plot where the residential complex is being constructed. According to him, the land belongs to the Kyiv City Council and was leased to the enterprise “Kyivhoma”. The plot was transferred for sub-lease for the construction of a sports facility, specifically a basketball stadium, but in fact, a residential complex began to be built there.

The deputy claims that “Kyivhoma” and the companies associated with it have ties to the “Privat” group, which, according to him, Mindič was previously connected to. In several criminal proceedings, law enforcement has repeatedly pointed out the discrepancy between the land's designated purpose and the actual construction.

Further investigation

Zheleznyak suggests that the discount on the apartments may not have been a classic bribe, but a form of mutual settlement between the parties involved. At the same time, he emphasizes that final conclusions should be made by law enforcement agencies. According to him, the cases regarding this developer and the participants are already under the scrutiny of NABU.

The deputy himself stressed that the facts mentioned are additions to the journalistic investigation and require legal evaluation. The final answer to the question of under what conditions Mindič acquired apartments at a significant discount should be provided by the investigation.
