Ermak's Lawyer Addresses Astrologer Correspondence in Dynasty Case
Lawyer's Commentary on Andriy Ermak's Messages
According to Главком: Ihor Fomin, attorney for the former head of the Presidential Office, has spoken out about the correspondence between Andriy Ermak and astrologer Veronika Anikievych. Ermak is a central figure in a money laundering case involving 460 million hryvnias linked to the Dynasty cottage community. Investigators allege that Ermak exchanged messages with Anikievych regarding personnel appointments.
In an interview with the channel "Naspravdi Max," Fomin stated that Veronika Anikievych, also known as Veronika Feng Shui, has no connection to the Dynasty corruption case. He emphasized that searches conducted by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAPO) were, in his view, unlawful. As part of the pre-trial investigation into money laundering through the Dynasty cottage community, law enforcement previously reported that Anikievych used a separate phone to communicate with Ermak. Prosecutors claimed that Ermak corresponded with a contact listed as "Veronika Feng Shui Office" about job placements.
Possible Reasons Behind the Messages
According to Fomin, "sometimes you just want to talk to someone-a woman. Because this burden is very hard to carry alone: you want to not be too strong, to seek advice." The lawyer believes his client may have simply been looking for someone to confide in. He also noted, "only she knows what she told him there."
It is worth noting that Andriy Ermak, the former head of the Presidential Office, has denied any involvement with the Dynasty cottage community. NABU suspects Ermak of laundering over 400 million hryvnias, funds that may be tied to corruption schemes involving Energoatom. Inspection reports of an iPhone 12 seized from Anikievych during a search on May 11 indicate the phone was used to communicate with a contact named "Andrey 2025," according to the prosecution.
Fomin also revealed that his client sought advice on appointments for several positions, including Minister of Health, the current minister, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleh Tatarov, and Head of the State Administration of Affairs Ihor Lysyi. "He asks for advice about him, writes down his date of birth," said Valentyna Hrebeniuk.
The case remains highly controversial, and lawyer Ihor Fomin's stance that the suspicions against Andriy Ermak are unfounded continues to spark public debate.
This situation surrounding Andriy Ermak and his correspondence with Veronika Anikievych highlights the complexity and ambiguity of Ukrainian politics, where personnel decisions and corruption scandals often intersect. It is important to note that the investigation is ongoing, and further proceedings could impact the reputations of those involved and the broader political climate in the country.
As the investigation into Andriy Ermak's alleged involvement in money laundering continues, the implications of his communications with various individuals are becoming clearer.
